While we will try to accommodate unforseen schedule changes and cancellations, we have developed these policies to protect our clients and our translators and interpreters.
-
Charges begin when an interpreter(s) reports to the event location and continue until an interpreter is dismissed by a client regardless whether an interpreter is actually interpreting, waiting for client, setting-up equipment, or performs errands for a client.
-
Overtime rate is 150% of the established rate for specific category and applies to each work hour in excess of 8 hours per day.
-
Travel time to out of town locations is charged at 75% of the established daily rate for specific category. Only daily rate applies to out of town assignments.
-
Travel expenses, such as lodging, transportation, parking, business related long distance phone calls, and per-diem are not included in the above rates.
-
Whenever possible we assign local interpreters. If local interpreter is not available, we will, at your discretion, assign an interpreter that can get to your desired location with a least expense.
-
A 50% deposit of the estimated charges may be required for first-time clients with the remainder due within 15 days of invoicing. Estimated travel expenses and per-diem in excess of $300.00 must be paid in advance.
-
If a client cancels an assignment after an assignment has been confirmed, cancellation fee is 50% of the estimated charges plus any actual out-of pocket expenses (such as travel expenses) that have been paid by us in connection with an assignment prior to receiving of such cancellation.
-
No refunds of deposits or fees paid for written translations unless translation performed is of poor quality or has not been delivered to client prior to or on agreed upon deadline. A quality of translation can be determined through a process of an independent peer review by an accredited translation organization such as ATA or similar.
-
No refunds will be given for travel expenses for pre-paid transportation tickets, lodging, and other pre-paid travel services.
-
All translations will be delivered in electronic format via e-mail, through uploading to Russian Interpreters Network or a client's website, and, if requested, by shipping a printed version (hard copy) via USPS.
-
If a client requests different delivery method, such as courier service or express delivery, charges for such shipping method must be pre-paid in accordance with a schedule of rates of a chosen courier.
-
All interpretation services will be delivered in-person, by telephone, or by a telephony service depending on client's choosing.
